Elis Paprika

Elis Paprika formed in Barcelona around 2010, built around Elisabet Arnedo on vocals and keys and Eduard Badia on guitar and vocals. They released their first album, 'At 5:00,' in 2014, which included the title track that became one of their better-known songs. The band's sound has moved between folk-influenced arrangements and more electronic textures over their three albums.

Their second album, 'Midnight Island,' came out in 2017 and leaned into a more experimental, electronic direction. By 2020's 'Elysia,' they had returned to a more introspective style. The group's lineup has also included bassist Marc Tena and drummer Lluís Fortuny.

Songs like 'Bitch,' 'Give me Love,' and 'No es amor' show their range from straightforward indie rock to more atmospheric pieces. They've maintained a steady output without much mainstream fanfare, building a catalog that appeals to listeners who prefer their music on the quieter, more textured side of indie.
