Elisety Ribeiro grew up in a Christian household in São Paulo, Brazil, where she sang hymns in her local church as a child. In 1999, she joined the gospel group Harpa Cristã as a lead vocalist, touring with them for several years.
She began her solo career in 2008 with the album "Hinos da Harpa," which featured a medley of traditional hymns arranged in a contemporary style. Songs like "Se Não For Pra Te Adorar" and "Deus da Minha Vida" became popular in Brazilian gospel circles.
Her music faced some criticism from those who preferred more traditional hymn arrangements, but she continued recording albums including "Hinos E Eternos Louvores" in 2011 and "20 Anos de Louvor" in 2019.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
