Elissa Franceschi grew up in Tonasket, Washington, where she started writing songs on piano as a child. That Pacific Northwest isolation shows up in her music, which tends toward the introspective. Her debut EP 'Night Hours' came out in 2017, followed by albums like 'The Great Attempted Escape' and 'The Bird in the Mirror'.
She's best known for the song 'Elliot,' a haunting ballad that captures her raw vocal style. Other tracks like 'Glass' and 'I Hold My Breath' follow similar emotional territory, built around piano and direct lyrics about heartbreak and loss.
After moving to Los Angeles, Franceschi worked her way through open mics and small local shows. Her writing stays personal and unadorned, avoiding production flourishes in favor of letting the songs speak for themselves.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
