Elles de Graaf is a vocalist and songwriter from the Netherlands. She grew up in Haarlem, where her mother played piano and introduced her to classical music as a child. Later, as a teenager, she got into grunge and punk.
In 2008, she formed a band under her own name with guitarist Jeroen Rietbergen, bassist Pieter de Graaf (her brother), and drummer Job de Witte. They worked on material that didn't fit neatly into one genre.
Her debut single 'Bobina' came out in 2016. The song has minimalist instrumentation and her vocals carry a haunted quality. It got some attention internationally. Another track, 'Circles of Why,' also appears in her catalog.
