Archive material and source history
Elletra formed in Rio de Janeiro around 2012 with Carla Sceno on vocals, Rafael Moreira on guitar, Doug Dias on bass, and Felipe Alves on drums. Their first album, 'Tudo Pode Mudar,' came out in 2014 and got some attention for Sceno's voice and the band's mix of MPB, indie rock, and electronic touches.
They put out a few more records after that, including 'Caminho' in 2016 and 'Elo' in 2018. Songs like 'Chove Agora' and 'Intuição' show their style, which tends to be melodic and a bit moody. In 2018, they had a festival set in São Paulo cut short after dedicating a song to former president Lula da Silva, which stirred some talk.
By 2020 they'd released 'Quando a Chuva Passar,' and tracks like 'Meu Rei' and 'Não É Por Acaso' kept showing up in their setlists. They've toured outside Brazil at times, but mostly they're known for that blend of Brazilian pop and rock, with Sceno's writing at the center.
