you are so good, the finest wine

you have exquisite taste in your own sweet time

you've played the part of the scenery

you've been the show everyone goes to see

no one knows what it's like on the inside of you

no one sees things quite like you do

you saw this coming, you walk this path

this is only a feeling, and feelings come to pass

but the way you feel is expendable

it's not real, but it's still the price of freedom

no one could know, no one could tell

a secret that would slowly unveil

some much to fight about, so little left to say

it was so hard to walk away

and i'll have you know

it has never been easy for me to go on

but i do, i'm on my own

but sometimes i wish things could've been different

never a chance to understand

never a change to let things go

you always wanted the upper hand

i walked away but i walked slow...

a hundred songs, all incomplete

so many feelings and they all compete

i guess things work out the way they need to
