Archive material and source history
EMF came together in Epsom, England, in the late 1980s. The group included James Atkin, Mark Decloedt, Zac Foley, and Derry Brownson. Their debut album 'Schubert Dip' arrived in 1991, and its lead single 'Unbelievable' became a major hit on both sides of the Atlantic.
They followed up with two more albums, 'Stigma' in 1992 and 'Chlorine' in 1994. Atkin left the band in 1995, and though they released another album in 2001, they disbanded not long after. EMF reunited for some live shows in 2013 and have played sporadically since.
