En Vogue formed in the late 1980s, put together by producers Sylvia Rhone and Denzil Foster. The original lineup was Cindy Herron, Dawn Robinson, Maxine Jones, and Terry Ellis. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1990.
Their debut single "Don't Let Go (Love)" was a hit, and they followed it with songs like "Free Your Mind" and "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)." Jones left the group in 1997, then rejoined in 2000 for the album "EV3." The group has had periods of activity and hiatus since then, with various reunions for tours.
