Grupo Encanto formed in Brazil in the late 1990s with vocalist Leilah Moreno, percussionist Dudu Braga, and guitarist Adilson Bispo. Their self-titled debut album came out in 1999. The song 'Meu Céu, Meu Sol, Meu Mar' became a breakout single for them around that time.
They put out several more albums over the next few years, including 'Um Novo Amanhecer' in 2001, 'Encanto Especial' in 2003, and 'Tudo de Bom' in 2004. Other songs like 'Amor Sincero' and 'Fantasias' are part of their catalog.
Moreno's personal difficulties with mental health and substance use became part of the group's story, alongside tabloid rumors about relationships within the band. Their music drew from samba and bossa nova, with Moreno's voice carrying over Braga's percussion and Bispo's guitar work.
