Endless Affliction formed in London in 2006, with vocalist Jake Williams, guitarists Alex Smith and Ben Jones, and drummer Tom Wilson. They put out their first album, 'Into the Abyss,' independently in 2008 after some labels passed on their sound. That record built them a small, dedicated following.
Their 2013 album 'Death Never Dies' included the title track, which became one of their better-known songs. The album's themes and imagery stirred up some debate at the time. Other tracks like 'Dock Of Charon' and 'Wrath Of Justice' also appear among their top songs.
They released 'The Devil's Symphony' in 2010, which continued in a similar heavy vein. The band's music tends toward dark, intense metal with lyrics that explore mortality and other grim subjects.
