Endorphin formed in the Netherlands in 2006 as a progressive metal band. Their lineup included vocalist Peter van Elderen, guitarists Marc van der Pol and Marc Klein, bassist Max van Esch, and drummer Gerben van der Veen. They released their debut album 'The Way to Redemption' in 2008.
Their third album 'Umbra Et Imago' came out in 2011, followed by 'The End of All Things' in 2014. The band's sound incorporated elements of classical music and electronic textures alongside metal arrangements.
Like many independent metal bands, Endorphin dealt with lineup changes and the practical challenges of maintaining a band while working day jobs. They kept recording and releasing music through those ordinary struggles.
