Equipe Breathe was a Canadian pop rock band that formed in the early 2000s, with David Goding on vocals and Jonathan Nash on guitar. Their debut album 'Feel' came out in 2003 and won a Juno Award for Pop Album of the Year the following year. That record helped them build an audience with its soulful vocals and straightforward lyrics.
In 2006, they released 'Out of the Shadows', which included the single 'Just Breathe'. The song became a hit, known for its themes of resilience. Around this time, the band got into a legal dispute with former producer Gavin Brown over royalties, which dragged on for a while.
Their fourth album, 'Tear Down the Walls', came out in 2009. It was shaped in part by the death of their tour manager Chris Smith in a car accident earlier that year. They put out one more album, 'Breathe Again', in 2012.
