Es Lo Que Hay formed in Bogotá, Colombia in the late 1990s. Their debut album 'Lo Eterno' came out in 2000, with the track 'Donde Estarás' becoming an immediate hit. The band's sound mixed Colombian rhythms with pop and rock.
Andrés Cepeda was the vocalist in those early years, but he left the group in 2003. The band continued after his departure, with Juan Pablo Vega eventually taking over on vocals and guitar. They've released several albums since, including 'El Camino' in 2003 and 'De Nuevo' in 2013.
Their music has maintained a following in Latin America, though they've never quite recaptured the widespread attention of that first album. They put out 'El Viaje' in 2017, their most recent recording to date.
