Editor's note

Escape The Fate, a Vegas post-hardcore band

A Las Vegas band that started in 2005, mixing metalcore with melodic hooks through shifting lineups.

For a sense of their sound, check out 'Situations' or 'My Apocalypse'. They're a good example of that 2000s metalcore-meets-melody thing that stuck around.

Escape The Fate's early track 'One For The Money' from their 2008 debut 'Dying Is Your Latest Fashion' caught attention with its blend of aggression and melody. Songs like 'Situations' and 'My Apocalypse' defined their sound, and they've kept releasing albums like 'Hate Me' and 'Chemical Warfare' into the 2010s. They're a steady presence in post-hardcore, still playing shows and recording from their Vegas roots.

The band formed around 2005, originally as This Day Forward, and put out their first EP 'There's No Sympathy for the Dead' in 2007. After singer Ronnie Radke left in 2008, Craig Mabbitt joined in 2009, leading to albums like 'This War Is Ours' and 'Ungrateful'. Lineups shifted with guitarists and drummers over the years, but they've stayed active through records like 'Hate Me' in 2015.

Escape the Fate started in Las Vegas around 2005, originally called This Day Forward. They put out their first EP, 'There's No Sympathy for the Dead,' in 2007. The next year, their debut album 'Dying Is Your Latest Fashion' came out with the track 'One For The Money,' which got them some attention.

In 2008, singer Ronnie Radke left the band after some legal trouble. Craig Mabbitt took over on vocals in 2009. With Mabbitt, they released albums like 'This War Is Ours' in 2010 and 'Ungrateful' in 2013. Their sound mixed metalcore with melodic hooks, heard on songs like 'Situations' and 'My Apocalypse.'

They kept putting out records through the 2010s, including 'Hate Me' in 2015 and 'Chemical Warfare' in 2018. The lineup shifted over time, with guitarists like Kevin Gruft and TJ Bell, and drummer Robert Ortiz. They're still a post-hardcore band from Vegas, playing shows and recording new material.
