Eskatos is a Brazilian gospel band that started in 1995, led by founder and singer Pr. Cleber Lucas. They came from the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro and faced early challenges like financial constraints and skepticism from parts of the gospel community. Their debut album, "Deus é Fiel," came out in 2000 and helped bring them wider attention.
Their song "Fé Em Ação" became a breakout hit, known for its uplifting message about faith in action. Other tracks like "Intimidade" and "Liberto Pelo Teu Amor" also feature in their catalog. The band has released albums such as "Salmo 40" in 2002 and "Até o Fim" in 2014.
The band has dealt with controversies, including allegations in 2017 related to financial issues and conduct, which affected their reputation but didn't stop their work. Their current lineup includes Pr. Cleber Lucas on vocals and guitar, along with members on bass, keyboards, drums, and guitar.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
