Eskimo F.I.B. formed in the early 2000s in São Paulo's Vila Madalena neighborhood. The band featured Fernando "Eskimo" Almeida on vocals, Éric "F.I.B." Rodrigues on guitar, Rodrigo "Boza" Costa on bass, and Pedro "Peixe" Martins on drums. They developed a following for live shows that mixed rock, rap, and funk with what was described as an irreverent stage presence.
Their 2004 debut album "Pessoas & Sons" included the track "A Curva," which became a hit in Brazil. Other songs like "Bipolar," "Botões," and "Cavalo de Fogo" appeared in their catalog. The band released several more albums including "O Mundo É Calmo" in 2005, "Sonhos e Suores" in 2008, and "Um Abraço do Futuro" in 2016.
Eskimo F.I.B. disbanded in 2017. Their music, particularly songs like "A Curva" and "Forte Apache," maintained recognition among Brazilian listeners who appreciated their blend of styles and direct lyrical approach.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
