Archive material and source history
Esthórica formed in Brazil around 2010, with members including vocalist and guitarist Léo Guilherme, bassist and vocalist Filipe Costa, drummer Guilherme Rolim, and guitarist and vocalist Marcelo Costa. The band had roots in an earlier project called Melancholy that began in 2008. Their first album, 'Viver é Dor,' came out in 2011, followed by 'Fim da Estrada' in 2015, which includes the track 'Fim Da Estrada Master.' They released another album, 'Visões Noturnas,' in 2019.
Their music draws from doom and atmospheric black metal, with slow tempos and ethereal vocals. In 2017, they faced some backlash from religious groups over a music video for the song 'Sangue na Lua' that depicted a crucifixion ceremony.
