Estilo Caro

Estilo Caro formed in Monterrey in 2008 when Mario Barrón, Ángel Guerrero, and Omar Robles started playing together. The name translates to 'Expensive Style,' though they've never made much of that meaning in interviews. Their first album came out the following year, sharing its title with the song 'Ahora Lloras.'

That song became their most recognizable track, a straightforward ballad about heartbreak that connected with listeners in Mexico and beyond. It's the kind of song people remember even if they don't know the band's name.

They kept releasing albums through the 2010s, including 'Vueltas' in 2011, 'Sonríe' in 2013, and 'Renacer' in 2017. In 2015, there was some noise about a plagiarism accusation involving a Colombian song, but it didn't seem to change their output much.
