Eugenio Derbez is best known as a Mexican comedian and actor, but he also briefly fronted a musical project called Fue Horrible. The band grew out of his sketch comedy show "Derbez en Cuando" and lasted from 2005 to 2007. It included his brother Vadhir Derbez on guitar and friend Omar Chaparro on bass.
Fue Horrible released just one self-titled album in 2006, mixing rock and pop with comedy skits. Songs like "Adoro" and "Al Ritmo Dance" came from that record. The group faced some criticism for prioritizing humor over musical polish, and there were questions about their use of playback during live shows.
Derbez sang lead vocals on the album, which found an audience but got mixed reviews from critics who weren't sure what to make of its comedic approach. After those two years, the project ended, and Derbez returned fully to acting and comedy.
