Everest formed in 1997, with Chris Broderick on lead guitar and vocals, Eric Brewer on bass and vocals, William DuVall on lead vocals, and Jonah Jenkins on drums. Their debut album 'Violently Alive' came out in 2000, followed by 'Let Go' in 2003, which gave them their signature song of the same name.
Broderick left the band in 2003, but Everest kept going. They released 'The Great Pacific Garbage Patch' in 2007 and 'Beaches' in 2011, though that fourth album got mixed reviews. Their last album was 'The Year of the Horse' in 2015.
