Evil Superstars formed in 1987 with Christian Nesmith on guitar and vocals, Dave Ramsay on bass, and Chris Carter on drums. Their debut album 'Just a Princess' came out the following year, giving the band its first major song. They put out three more records through the mid-1990s: 'Glamorous Nightmare' in 1990, 'Kiss of Death' in 1992, and 'Apocalypse Baby' in 1994.
Their sound leaned into glam rock with a theatrical edge, and songs like '1,000,000 Demons Can't Be Wrong' and 'Gimme Animal Rights' carried that energy. The band's look and stage presence drew attention, sometimes putting them at odds with more conservative listeners.
By the time 'Apocalypse Baby' arrived in 1994, the lineup had expanded to include keyboardist Rick Davis and another guitarist. The group's catalog holds a handful of tracks that still turn up on glam and hard rock playlists, with 'Just a Princess' and 'B.a.b.y.' among the most recognizable.
