Archive material and source history

EXCITE formed in Tokyo in the early 1990s with vocalist Masato, guitarist Kazuya, bassist Toshiaki, and drummer Jun. Their debut album 'Try Again' came out in 1994, and the title track became a hit. The band was known for energetic live shows.

They released several albums after that, including 'Vision' in 1996, 'Ignition' in 2002, and 'Addiction' in 2005. In 2000, a lawsuit led to a temporary break. They kept playing after that, mixing melodic rock with some experimental touches.
