Excoriate

Excoriate formed in Cincinnati in 1991 after the breakup of Visceral Vomit, with former members Mark Haggard and Mike Hrubovcak joining guitarist Tim Lee and drummer Brian Boerstler. They released their first album, 'Outlive the Dead,' in 1993, but it was their 1995 follow-up that gave them their most recognizable track, 'Bestial Slaughter.'

That song, along with others like 'Demons Rush' and 'On Pestilent Winds,' became part of their catalog of straightforward death metal. They put out two more studio albums after that, 'Disorder of the Unseen' in 1998 and 'The Dead Don't' later on, sticking to their sound without much fuss.
