Executive

Executive was a hard rock band that put out three albums in the 1980s: their self-titled debut in 1983, followed by 'Stand Alone' in 1985 and 'Tough It Out' in 1987. The group featured Marq Torien on vocals, David Spitz on lead guitar, Donnie Van Stavern on bass, and Frankie LaRocka on drums.

Their song 'Greed' became their most recognizable track, getting regular radio play and helping their first album sell well. The lyrics to that song, along with others like 'Meaningless' and 'Strings,' often dealt with darker themes that sometimes sparked debate.

Like many bands from that era, Executive had their share of internal struggles, including substance abuse issues and disagreements with their record label over money and creative direction. They managed to put out those three records before fading from the mainstream.
