Expire is a hardcore punk band from Detroit that formed around 2010. The group's early lineup included vocalist Kyle Taylor, guitarists Zach Dear and Jake Moore, bassist Aaron Thompson, and drummer Adam Pierce. They put out their debut EP 'Essence of Misery' in 2012.
Their 2019 album 'Abyss' gave the band its title track, which appears on their list of top songs alongside 'Anxiety' and 'Dig Deep.' The record followed earlier releases like 'Destructive Divinity' from 2014 and 'With No Remorse' from 2017.
Taylor remains the vocalist, with Dear and Moore still on guitar. Their music tends toward aggressive, introspective hardcore, though the catalog copy about mainstream recognition and social transformation feels promotional and gets left out here.
