Express was a Japanese rock band formed in the mid-1980s with Takeo Igarashi on vocals, Yasuhiro Suzuki on guitar, Nobuhiko Nakagawa on bass, and Junichi Nakamura on drums. Their debut single "Mogura No Uta" reached the top 10 on Japanese charts and became their most recognizable song.
They released several albums through the late 1980s and early 1990s, including "Katsute Onna Deshita" in 1987 and "Brand New Day" in 1989. The band's activities were interrupted in 1988 when Igarashi was arrested for marijuana possession.
Express disbanded in 1992. Their song "Mogura No Uta" has appeared in various films and television shows since then.
