Some in Brazil's reggae scene initially criticized their mix of reggae with rock and samba elements, but they kept at it.
Their first album was 2006's 'Só Quero Paz,' which gave them a title track that became something of a peace anthem. Later records like 'Raízes' (2009) and 'Somos Todos Iguais' (2012) added touches of funk, hip-hop, and Brazilian indigenous music to their sound. Another song, 'Teu Sorriso Feito Luz,' also appears in their catalog.
They never became a mainstream commercial force, but they built a following around their message and their evolving blend of styles. The band's work stayed focused on themes of peace and unity across their releases.
