F-2 was a Puerto Rican duo from San Juan, formed in the late 1970s by Frankie Cutlass (Francisco Rosado) and Frankie Negrón (Francisco Negrón). Cutlass handled guitar and lead vocals while Negrón provided backup vocals and percussion. They worked with artists like Glenn Monroig and Eddie Santiago.
Their debut album "Amor" featured the ballad of the same name, which became their most recognizable song. Other tracks in their catalog include "So Hoje-espanol," "Hey Baby," and "Impossível Te Esquecer." They released albums through the 1980s and 1990s, including "Rivales" and "Los Tres."
Frankie Cutlass encountered some legal trouble early on, but the duo continued making music. Their romantic ballads found an audience in Latin music circles, particularly through radio play and dance halls.
