He kept putting out albums like "Deixa Rolar" in 2004 and "Meu Lugar" in 2007, working with musicians like guitarist Felipe Ferreira. Other songs like "Mulher Não Trai, Mulher Se Vinga" and "Agora Quem Não Quer Sou Eu" followed a similar vein, direct lyrics about country life and relationships that sometimes drew criticism for being too blunt.

Lima's music stayed grounded in sertanejo traditions without much fuss. He played shows with artists like Gusttavo Lima and Bruno & Marrone, but his sound remained his own.
