The group included Willem Nijholt on lead vocals, Loeki Knol on vocals, Dick Rienstra on guitar, Piet Souer on bass, and Cees Schrama on accordion.
Their music was tied to the "Fabeltjeskrant" television series, and songs like "Als Momfer Zing Ik Zo" and "Beren-goed" captured a particular kind of childhood whimsy that resonated with Dutch audiences throughout the 1970s. They released their debut album in 1970, simply titled "Fabeltjeskrant."
