Fabiano Caribé came up in Salvador, Bahia, and started making music in the early 1990s. His debut album 'Axé pra Frente' came out in 1992. He works in the axé style, which pulls from Bahian rhythms like samba and reggae.
Songs like 'Entrar Em Cena' and 'Longe de Você' got popular across Brazil. In 1996, there was a plagiarism accusation that led to a legal fight and a temporary suspension of his music.
He's put out records fairly steadily, including 'Dança do Amor' in 1997 and 'Deixa o Amor Entrar' in 2000. His band has included musicians like Bruno Magnata on guitar and Fábio Sanfoneiro on accordion.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
