Fabiola was a Venezuelan music group that formed in the early 2000s around lead vocalist and songwriter Fabiola José. They first caught attention with their debut single 'Acidito' in 2003, a dance-pop track that became a radio hit in Venezuela. The original lineup included Fernando Tovar on guitar, Juan Carlos Pérez on bass, and José Luis Díaz on drums.
Their sound mixed Venezuelan rhythms with pop and dance elements, sometimes described as 'Electro-Venezolano.' They released several albums including 'Fabiola' in 2005, 'Sin Miedo' in 2007, 'De Regreso' in 2010, and 'Más que Amor' in 2015. In 2006, the group faced a legal dispute over the rights to their song 'Caramelo,' which led to Fernando Tovar leaving the band.
After Tovar's departure, Fabiola continued with a somewhat different sound and image.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
