Fábrica Civil

Fábrica Civil formed in São Paulo in the early 2000s, originally calling themselves Consolidated before settling on the name they'd use for their Brazilian hardcore and punk. Their debut album came out in 2004, followed by records like 'A Favor da Vida Contra o Sistema' in 2006 and 'Liberdade Virtual' in 2010. The band's lineup included Gustavo X on vocals, Fábio Batera on drums, Gilmar Bola Oito on bass, and Thiago Júnior on guitar.

Their songs often dealt with political and social themes, which sometimes sparked debate. Tracks like 'Memórias de um tal ninguém' and 'Uma nova história' carried that direct lyrical approach. They released seven studio albums through 2013's 'O Som do Peso,' which showed a more introspective side alongside their established sound.

Fábrica Civil built a following through steady performances and recordings that blended hardcore energy with hip-hop influences. Their music connected with listeners who appreciated straightforward messages about justice and questioning authority, without much polish or pretense.
