Fabrício Rodrigues and Waléria Leão met at a local music festival in 2000 and formed their duo shortly after. Their self-titled debut album came out in 2002, which helped establish them in the Arrocha and Sertanejo styles. They followed it with records like 'Encontro de Gigantes' in 2004 and 'Paixão Proibida' in 2006.
In 2008, they faced plagiarism allegations over one of their songs, though the case was eventually dismissed. Waléria was involved in a domestic dispute in 2014 that drew media attention. Through those years, they kept releasing albums, including 'Ao Vivo em Goiânia' in 2010 and 'Vida Nova' in 2016.
Their music, like the track 'Arrocha, Sertanejo,' blends those two Brazilian genres. Fabrício handles lead vocals and guitar, while Waléria sings and plays percussion.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
