The band faced some censorship from Brazil's military government during this period, though they continued releasing albums through the 1970s including 'Despertar' in 1976 and 'Instalação do Som' in 1978.
Fabulosa Banda Imaginária disbanded in the early 1980s, but 'Acabou' has been covered by artists like Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia.
