Fabyx formed in 2011 as a trio from Lisbon with Ricardo Romano on vocals, Pedro Almeida on bass, and Rafael Batista on drums. They spent their early years playing small venues and festivals, working through the usual financial struggles that come with building a band from the ground up.
Their second album, "Alpha," came out in 2016 and included the song "Alfaiates." That track got some attention internationally, though it also seemed to split critics over its unconventional approach. Their debut, "Ephemeral," had been released two years earlier in 2014.
