Pete Parada played drums for them from 1992 to 2003 and again starting in 2008, with Scott Shiflett handling drums in between.

They put out their first album, 'Don't Turn Away,' in 1992. A few years later, 'Big Choice' gave the band one of its better-known songs. Tracks like 'Blind' and 'Disappointed' from their 1996 self-titled album became staples for fans who connected with their direct approach.

The band has kept at it, releasing albums like 'How to Ruin Everything' in 2002 and returning with new music years later, including a self-titled album in 2016 and 'No Way Out But Through' in 2021. Their lyrics sometimes touched on social or political themes, which drew both criticism and support.
