Facing The Plastic

Facing the Plastic formed in the late 2000s with a sound that pulled from post-hardcore, metal, and electronica. Their debut single "All You Have" came out in 2010, and the album of the same name followed that year. They put out three more albums over the next decade: "The Plastic Age" in 2012, "Echoes of the Void" in 2015, and "Anthem for the Broken" in 2018.

The band's lineup included Ethan James on vocals, Alex Carter on guitar, Max Reed on bass and keyboards, and Dylan Roberts on drums. Their songs like "Already Dead," "Bullets and Bombs," and "Interference" carried a raw, introspective quality that drew some criticism for being too confrontational, though it also found an audience.

They never became a mainstream act, but their records developed a following among listeners who responded to that particular blend of aggression and atmosphere. The music held its ground without softening much across those four albums.
