Facínora

Facínora formed in Spain around 2004, working from the country's underground metal scene. Their early years involved steady touring, and the core lineup has mostly stayed the same with founding members Álvaro, J. Marcos, and F. Escobar, plus bassist David and drummer Kike.

Their music pulls from black metal and thrash, with songs like "Hell Is Here" and "R.i.p. (Religion Is a Plague)" built on heavy rhythms and distorted guitars. They've put out albums including a self-titled debut, "Irae," and "In Somnia."

They've worked with outside musicians like Kristoffer Rygg from Ulver and Matt Heafy from Trivium. Their lyrics often confront dark or contentious themes, which has drawn strong reactions at times, but they've generally kept to their own path without much compromise.
