Factor Kill

Factor Kill came out of São Paulo, Brazil, with a sound that mixed punk's speed with metal's heaviness. Their 2010 debut album Crazy for Beers gave them an early anthem in the title track, a loud, fast song about drinking that connected with listeners who wanted something raw and direct. The band's lineup included vocalist Negra, guitarists Trix and Croque, bassist Wolfs, and drummer Rato.

They kept putting out albums through the 2010s, like 2013's Punk, Not Dead and 2016's Prisoners of War. Songs like Low Progress and Red Violence showed they could write aggressive music that still had hooks. Their lyrics often dealt with frustration and pushing back against authority, which sometimes got them attention from conservative groups who didn't like the message.

Factor Kill built a reputation for intense live shows where the energy was high and the volume was higher. They recorded one of those sets for 2019's Live at the Garage. While they never became a mainstream name, their mix of punk attitude and metal riffing found an audience in the underground scene that appreciated music that didn't smooth out its edges.
