Faell Mota

Faell Mota formed in 2008 with vocalist and guitarist Faell, bassist Gustavo Oliveira, and drummer Rodrigo Carmo. They started playing local venues, working through the usual early struggles of a new band. Their debut album 'Intimamente' came out in 2014, anchored by the title track that became their most recognizable song.

That album established their basic approach: acoustic guitar, gentle percussion, and Faell's vocals. They followed it with 'Identidade' in 2016 and 'Capítulo 3' in 2018, gradually adding more pop and indie elements to their sound. Other songs like 'Á Moda Antiga' and 'Amanhã Vai Chover' show the same intimate, melodic quality that runs through their work.

At some point, personal issues and rumors about the band members became public, though the specifics are hazy. They acknowledged going through a rough patch and getting some help, which seemed to connect with listeners who appreciated their honesty. The music kept coming, staying focused on emotional, straightforward songwriting rather than dramatic reinvention.
