Failsafe

Failsafe formed in Los Angeles around 2008, led by vocalist Ethan Reed. They put out their first album, 'The Sound of Silence,' in 2010. The song 'A Common Goal' came out in 2012 and seemed to connect with people, becoming one of their better-known tracks. They've released a couple more albums since, including 'Echoes of Resistance' in 2018.

Their music pulls from rock and alternative, with some electronic touches. Songs like 'Cities And Headlights' and 'Mirror Mirror' have that layered, atmospheric feel. The lyrics often circle around themes of connection and social issues, which has been a consistent thread.

At different points, the band has included guitarist Liam Stride, drummer Dylan Hayes, and bassist Ava Song. They've had some lineup shifts over time, which isn't unusual for a group working outside the mainstream. They've kept at it, putting out music that has its own space between genres.
