A short-lived 1980s band remembered for one perfect single and a clear melodic signature.
For their sound, start with 'Perfect'. For the rest of their brief catalog, try 'Winter Rose' or 'Moon On The Rain'.
They landed with a sound that felt both fresh and familiar, built around Eddi Reader's voice and Mark E. Nevin's songwriting. The song 'Perfect' became a genuine hit, a folk-pop tune that just connected. Their other tracks, like 'Winter Rose' and 'Moon On The Rain', carried that same straightforward, melodic feel.
The band formed in the mid-1980s and released their debut album 'The First of a Million Kisses' in 1988. After Reader left following that album, they put out a second record, 'Ay Fond Kiss', in 1989 before disbanding in 1990.

Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
