Faith

Faith formed in Leeds in 1990 around siblings Stephen and Justine Percy. Their sound drew from the ethereal textures of bands like Cocteau Twins and My Bloody Valentine, with shimmering guitars and layered vocals that created a distinct atmosphere. Their debut album 'Insides' arrived in 1992, followed by 'Void' in 1994 and 'Seven Stories' in 1997.

Their track '2 Girls In The Sepiatone' became particularly noted, though the album artwork featuring two young girls sparked some discussion about imagery in art. The band's lineup included Karl Hildebrandt on bass and Andrew Rendle on drums alongside the Percys.

Other songs like 'Quest Of Maze' and 'Rip Track' reflected their approach to mood and texture rather than conventional rock structures. Their music maintained a consistent quality through those 1990s releases without chasing mainstream trends.
