Faith Richards formed in London during the mid-1990s with Anya Richards on vocals, Jack Barnes on guitar, Ethan Carter on bass, and Mark Stevens on drums. Their debut album 'Blue' came out in 1997, anchored by the title track that became their most recognizable song. That single 'Blue' had a sparse, atmospheric quality that caught attention, along with other early tracks like 'Bold' and 'Impress Me'.
They released several more albums after that initial success, including 'Echoes' in 1999, 'Fragile' in 2002, 'Ashes' in 2005, and 'Redemption' in 2008. The band maintained a consistent sound across these records, melodic, introspective rock built around Anya Richards' distinctive voice. They never became a mainstream fixture, but developed a dedicated following who appreciated their particular approach.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
