Fake P

Fake P formed in Berlin around 2006 as a somewhat anonymous electronic collective. Their first album came out in 2007, followed by releases like '777' in 2009 and 'The Happy End' in 2011. They've kept putting out records at a steady pace, with 'Dubiety' arriving in 2020.

Their best-known track is probably 'Happy End,' which has a choral, melodic quality that feels both bright and a little uneasy. Other songs in their catalog include 'Bla Bla Bla,' 'Funny and Sunny,' and the more abstract 'Rorschach' and 'Baubaubhaus.'

The group's lineup has included figures like Carsten Nicolai, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Markus Popp at different points, though they've generally avoided putting themselves front and center.
