Falko was the stage name of Johann Hölzel, an Austrian musician who worked primarily with synthesizers in the early 1980s. He recorded with producer Markus Spiegel. His 1982 single 'Der Kommissar' became a hit across Europe, known for its German lyrics and electronic pop sound.
He released four studio albums between 1982 and 1990, including 'Einzelhaft' and 'Junge Römer'. His music blended pop and rock elements with electronic arrangements. He died in 1998.
