Archive material and source history
Falks Trot started in Rio de Janeiro in 1995, with Léo Cavalcanti on guitar and vocals, Marcelo Gayotto on keyboards, and Daniel Ramos on bass. They were later joined by Lucas Guimarães on drums and Ricardo Feghali on guitar. In 2000, they put out the single "Uma Nova Criação," which caught on with listeners in Brazil.
Cavalcanti's public departure from Christianity in 2004 caused some friction with fans, but the group kept making music. They released albums like "Restauração" in 2007 and "Amor Eterno" in 2010, moving toward a sound that mixed pop, rock, and electronic elements. A live album, "Falks Trot 20 Anos," came out in 2015.
