Fall In Archaea formed in Russia around 2006 with Alexie Bogdanov on vocals, Denis Kharevich on guitar, Ivan Ivanov on bass, and Anton Leontiev on drums. They released their debut EP 'In the Edge of the Falling' early on, but it was their 2013 full-length album 'The Essence of the Unforeseen' that brought them wider attention.
Their music blends progressive metal with electronic textures and atmospheric touches. Songs like 'Machines' and 'The Messenger' from their catalog show their approach to heavy, layered arrangements. In 2016, drummer Anton Leontiev passed away, and the band continued with Sergey Smirnov taking over on drums.
They followed up with another album called 'Habitual Self-Destruction,' which leaned further into industrial and electronic elements. The band has kept working in the years since, though details about their recent activity are sparse.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
