Falling Sickness

Falling Sickness formed in London in 1985 with Matt Dangerfield on vocals and bass, Nick Hudspith on guitar, and Andy Gray on drums. Their debut single "Ain't No Fun" became something of an underground anthem, its hypnotic groove and direct lyrics connecting with listeners who felt outside the mainstream.

Their music blended punk's raw energy with post-punk's experimental leanings, creating a sound that was both aggressive and atmospheric. The band released several albums including "Trapped in the Machine," "Coming Down," and "The Blood and the Gospel," each showing different aspects of their approach while maintaining their distinctive intensity.

Songs like "Drinking In The Streets" and "Face The Clock" captured the band's ability to channel urban alienation into compelling rock music. Their live performances were known for their visceral quality, though their confrontational style sometimes drew criticism from more conservative quarters.
